The Spring Season regular season is winding down(can you believe it) with many teams still fighting for a place in the CIAC State Tournament and in some cases their Conference Tournament as well.
A busy Broadcast Week in Girls Softball lies ahead starting Monday night when I travel to Biondi Field in West Haven to see Hand(8-4) at West Haven(9-4). Hand won the first meeting 9-0.

Wally and I took a trip to Guilford HS Sunday afternoon to see Sacred Heart Academy and Guilford in their rematch. SHA had won the first meeting 3-0.
Guilford got revenge beating SHA 14-0. Amanda King was the winning pitcher, twirling a 3 hitter and striking out 9. She also had 2 rbis. Jess Smith hit a solo Home Run and had 2 rbis, Emily Torre hit a Grand Slam Home Run and Ava Gladwin had a single and scored 4 runs for Guilford. Guilford is 9-3, SHA is 6-7.
Ally Kirck, Kate Napierkowski and Jacquie Esposito had the 3 SHA hits.
