Villanova, after a sluggish first half, defeated Mt. St. Mary's 76-56 and Notre Dame barely beat Princeton 60-58.
Arizona, Florida St., Northwestern and Gonzaga also advanced..
Just like that, 64 teams whittled down to 48 as the Tournament continues on Friday.
