Geno Auriemma Becomes Winningest Coach in NCAA Basketball History

UCONN Women's Basketball Coach, Geno Auriemma, became the winningest coach in NCAA basketball history on Wednesday night. Auriemma notched victory 1, 217 after UCONN defeated Fairleigh Dickinson 85-41. Auriemma and Associate Head Coach Chris Dailey were honored before and after the game. Auriemma and Dailey are in their 40th season. He has won 11 National Championships.

Geno also was the Head Coach of the United States Women's Olympic Basketball Team - winning Gold in 2000, 2012 and 2016.

Auriemma started in 1985 at UCONN, going 12-15 in his 1st year. He has never been under .500 since that season.
