I ventured out to East Haven Tuesday - took in Shelton at East Haven in Girls Softball
Close game throughout - in the end though - the Yellowjackets beat the Gaelettes 4-1
For East Haven - Gianna Santoro pitched a 1 hitter and had 12 strikeouts, and at the plate, had a single and double and scored a run; Gianna Fowler had 2 rbis and Eve Backhaus had a double and scored a run
For Shelton - Jeanise Serrano had Shelton's lone hit - a double; Shelton scored their run in the 1st inning on a throwing error
