Yanks, Red Sox Win Openers, UCONN Men Romp Again, NHL, NBA, High School

The Yankees and Red Sox won their openers in MLB Thursday.

The Yankees trailed Houston 4-0 before rallying for a 5-4 victory. Alex Verdugo had the game winning rbi with a sac fly and Oswaldo Cabrera homered in the Yankee win. Juan Soto threw out the tying run at the plate in the 9th innning.

The Red Sox beat the Seattle Mariners 6-4. Tyler O'Neill and Rafael Devers homered for Boston.

The Mets and Brewers were postponed due to rain.
