I have to say that I am very impressed with Shelton. Better known on the hardwood as the Gaelettes, Shelton managed to navigate their way to a close-game victory. After losing a number of tight ones throughout the season, the Gaelettes received everything the Yellow Jackets of East Haven had. That game ended with a buzzer-beating miss from 3/4 court by East Haven. Ultimately, Shelton did what they had to do down low and controlled the boards. Typically if you do that, you can win the game. The Shelton win on Wednesday night dropped Goralnik's Guesses to 6-7.
Now I am faced with a #8 vs #1 game in the SCC tournament. Fortunately for me, Sheehan is a juggernaut. They are also led by one of the best in the game in Mike Busillo. Most importantly, the Titans also boast a tall front-court so Shelton's advantage is neutralized. Nonetheless, this game should be a battle on the boards and on you don't want to miss.
