Friday night at the "Wigwam", the Guilford boys used a fast start to set the tone early as Guilford defeated Sheehan 65-41 to improve to 8-0 on the season. Lead by 2x "Hummel Hotdog Player of the Game" Sam Dombroski with 24 points, Guilford had 4 players in double figures including Noah Rubino chipping in 13. With spots in both the SCC and state tournaments achieved with the win, Coach Jeff DeMaio, son of WELI's George DeMaio, turns his attention to a tough upcoming schedule, which include games with Cheshire and on the road against top-ten powerhouse Xavier.
Sheehan, normally a good jump shooting team, couldn't get on tack as they shot 5 for 25 from 3 point range and committed 13 turnovers. They were led by Jack McDonnell with 10 points and Brett Gill with 9 points.
