Highlights of Girls' Game East Haven vs Hamden

East Haven (8-1) came into their battle Monday night looking to clear a short-term goal, get to 8 wins. However to get to that milestone they had to get by a Hamden looking to measure themselves against one of the best teams in the state.

East Haven had 4 players in double figures led by Hummel Hot Dog Player of the Game McKenzie Helms with 24 points (14 in the 1st half), who used a 21-6 3rd quarter en route to their 8th win. That milestone guarantees a spot in both the state and SCC touranaments.

Hamden led by Taniyah Thompson (24 pts) and Makaela Johnson (18 pts) made kept it close trailing 34-29 at halftime, but it was their inability to score in the 3rd quarter that was the difference in the game.
