Highlights of today’s Class L Semifinal game where Daniel Hand defeated Windsor on their way to the Championship Game to play Masuk, who defeated New Canaan earlier today to earn their Champoinship berth.
The Hand Tigers were in control from wire to wire as both the offense and the defense were working on all cylinders! Captain Brian Cassagrande recovered a muffed punt which setup his TD run that put the Tigers on the board early. Sophomore QB Phoenix Billings threw 2 TD’s and ran for a 3rd as the offense for the 2nd straight week scored 30+ points. Throw in the defense led by Cassagrande that’s given up a stingy 16 points in 2 playoff games and you have a team in Daniel Hand that is going to be extremely tough to beat if they continue to play this well.
