Yale looks for 1st Outright title in “THE GAME”

The Yale Bulldogs coming off of a thrilling 35-31 comeback victory, a victory that gave them at least a share of the Ivy League Title last weekend, have a chance to win the title outright this weeeknd.  To do so they must beat their arch rivals Harvard in an event we in New England call “THE GAME”.

“Team 145” as Ron Vaccaro, the voice of the Yale Football calls them, has a chance to do something that hasn’t been done since 1980. Normally, this game or any athletic event involving the Yale Bulldogs and the Harvard Crimson need not much to get heated. This rivalry is along the lines of Yankees-Red Sox. However, for 8-1 Yale this year’s game means much more.

This year’s game will be held at the Yale Bowl in New Haven,CT where there expects to be up to 50,000 in attendance. The 12:30pm pregame can be heard on the IHeart Radio App, 960 am WELI, as well as 960weli.com
