Authorities in Italy busted a clever dog owner who trained his pet pooch to illegally dump trash for him. Police in the Sicilian town of Catania revealed the remarkable 'trick' in a social media post featuring shared security footage of the diminutive animal dutifully depositing garbage bags on the side of a road. Musing that "ingenuity can never become an alibi for incivility," they lamented that the dog owner's inventive method of circumventing the law was doubly disappointing as it both hurt the environment and turned his "four-legged friend" into an unwitting accomplice in the petty crime that ultimately netted the man a sizeable fine.
