President-elect Donald Trump will be inaugurated on Monday (January 20) for his second term as President of the United States. The inauguration day events will begin with a service at St. John's Episcopal Church and a traditional tea at the White House between Trump, his wife Melania, President Joe Biden, and First Lady Jill Biden.
The inauguration, which will take place indoors at the Capitol Rotunda due to cold weather, will begin at 11:30 a.m. ET and feature performances by Carrie Underwood, Lee Greenwood, and Christopher Macchio.
After the ceremony, Trump will deliver his inaugural address, followed by a luncheon at the U.S. Capitol. The day will conclude with three inaugural balls: the Commander-in-Chief Ball, the Liberty Ball, and the Starlight Ball, which will feature performances by Rascal Flatts, Jason Aldean, and Gavin DeGraw.
After being sworn in, Trump plans to immediately sign hundreds of executive orders, reversing many of the Biden administration's policies. At a pre-inauguration rally in Washington, DC, Trump hinted at what he plans to do, promising to delay a TikTok ban, release classified assassination files, and pardon January 6 rioters. He also celebrated a Middle East ceasefire, crediting his team for the agreement.
On Tuesday (January 21), Trump will attend a national interfaith prayer service at the Washington National Cathedral.
