Three NFL teams have requested an interview with Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo for their head coaching vacancies.

The Jacksonville Jaguars publicly confirmed their intention to interview Spagnulo for their head coaching position in posts shared on their social media accounts.

"We have requested an interview with Steve Spagnuolo for our Head Coach vacancy," the Jaguars wrote.

The Jaguars' interest came hours after the New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders had already expressed interest in interviewing Spagnuolo for their own head coaching vacancies, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported.

"The #Jaguars have requested an interview with #Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo for their head coaching job. That's three for Spags, who also is set to speak with the #Jets and #Raiders," Pelissero wrote on his X account.

Spagnuolo agreed to a contract extension with the Chiefs in February, shortly after winning his third Super Bowl -- second consecutive -- with the franchise and his fourth, having previously won as defensive coordinator for the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII. Kansas City ranked No. 15 in points allowed per game (22.6) and No. 17 in total yards allowed (327.6), having finished tied for a league-best 15-2 record, despite having never scored more than 30 points on offense all season.
