At least four pilots reported seeing unidentified flying objects (UFOs) moving at extreme speeds over Oregon last weekend. The sightings, which occurred on Saturday (December 7), were captured in air traffic control audio and involved colorful, circular lights moving erratically in the sky. According to the New York Post, a United Airlines pilot flying from Denver to Eugene described seeing multiple targets at various altitudes, while a Life Flight air ambulance pilot reported a red light moving in a corkscrew pattern.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that at least one pilot reported seeing the lights but did not provide further details. Some experts, like University of Utah mechanical engineer Dr. Douglas Buettner, suggest the lights could be misidentified Starlink satellites. However, the Life Flight pilot, Joe Buley, expressed skepticism about this explanation, noting the lights' rapid direction changes.

The FAA stated that it shares well-documented UFO cases with the Department of Defense's All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office, which investigates such phenomena. Despite the unusual sightings, all flights continued to their destinations without incident.
