TNA Wrestling Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace suffered a gruesome ear injury during a special WWE NXT appearance Sunday (June 9) night.

Grace, 28, was defeated by NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez in a title match during the NXT Battleground premium live event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Grace's earring got caught in Perez's fishnets during the match, which ripped through her ear.

"Very sad to announce that after many years of unproblematic, diligent work, my ear piercings will now retire from in-ring action," Grace wrote on her X account, which showed part of her earlobe missing.

Grace had previously suffered a similar incident during a taping of TNA Impact last month when part of the same ear ripped out and got caught on the tight's of Marti Belle -- one half of the tag-team 'The Hex' -- while retaining her TNA Knockouts title.

"There's a reason why I am one of the most dominant champions in TNA," Grace said after the match. "I went out there and I got a piece of my ear ripped out and I still came out with the Knockouts world championship. There's a piece of my ear with the earring on that woman's tights but she still took the pin. Now I've gotta go see the doctor."
