I'm not sure what it is but I still can't figure out the battle on the frozen tundra. Wednesday night's defeat brings my record to 8-3 on the year and an abysmal 1-3 on the ice. If you're not too busy laughing at my struggles, you'll notice that those records mean I am a perfect 7-0 on the court. And fortunately for me, we have a battle on the hardwood tonight, which inevitably means that whoever I say will win is sure to win the game.
With that said, I cannot over think this game. I know that I bet against them Wednesday... heck I guaranteed against them, and it really came back to burn me because the Blue Devils dominated on the ice. In doing so, they knocked off undefeated East Haven. Well, the boys' basketball team has a chance to do a similar thing here tonight facing undefeated Notre Dame. The difference for me is the fact that the Green Knights are a squad top to bottom. A well-coached team with very few flaws is not a team I am willing to bet against. I know West Haven was missing a couple players when these teams first met but nothing will change. As I said Wednesday but with a lot more confidence, give me the road team against West Haven and you can put a stamp of Goralnik Guarantee on this one. No doubt! And to summarize, I guaranteed East Haven two nights ago but that was hockey and that has been a struggle for me. Tonight, on the basketball court where I am undefeated, I'm riding with the Green Knights of Notre Dame and dropping another stamp of guarantee.
