Native New Havener Is Rocking Dublin...And Beyond

Most musicians will tell you that when it comes to the instrument of their choice they began playing at a ridiculously young age. Such was the case with New Haven-born Gary Vitagliano, an elementary school lad whose father would come home after closing up his Mr. Donut (remember those?) for the day, only to hear cymbals being smashed and kick drums being kicked.

Cut to the late 80's, and wrapping up college in Boston, Vitagliano did what many artists do. Or did he? He got married - to a girl from Ireland, no less - moved there to start a family and began the 9-5 job. Cut to 2019 and those cymbals are still being smashed, that kick drum still being kicked. The day job is still in play, of course, but his band No Audio Dialogue just released a fantastic full-length record and there's plenty of gigging to be done 'round Dublin at night. A European tour could even await. "Do You Hedgehog?" is ten strong original numbers, with front man Stephen Walker bearing a bit of a resemblance to Dave Grohl, even while the music is more Catfish & The Bottlemen. Ciaran McCreary rounds the trio out.

Check out the video, which is the first single off the record, and lead-off track to it, too. And just know: Dreams don't die. They may get abandoned, but they don't die. Don't be a hedgehog.
