9/1-10/14: CT Renaissance Faire

Lebanon County Fairgrounds, Lebanon

Over seven weekends plus Labor Day and Columbus Day, visitors step into a 16th-century English village filled with knights and knaves, maidens and minstrels, jousters and jesters. 

9/7-9/9: Norwalk Oyster Festival 

Veterans Memorial Park, Norwalk

There will be oysters (of course) but also plenty of other foods from the International Food Court, plus arts and crafts, harbor tour cruises, prizes and giveaways, kids’ games, rides and parades, and much more. Active duty military personnel free.

9/15-9/16: Garlic Festival 

Olde Mistick Village, Mystic

A celebration of all things garlic, plus more fresh produce from local farmers and an array of merchants, artisans and artists. 

9/21-9/23: Guilford Fair 

Guilford Fairgrounds

Featured acts: Dirty Deeds, an AC/DC tribute (Friday); country artist Morgan Wallen (Saturday); Truck Stop Troubadours (Sunday). 

9/27-9/30: Durham Fair

Durham Fairgrounds 

One of the state's most-attended fairs. Featured acts: Melissa Etheridge (Friday); Scotty McCreery (Saturday).
