The Hand Tigers pounced the Windsor Warriors in a blowout win to claim their seat in the Class L State Championship game. The Tigers will play Masuk, who defeated New Canaan in their semifinal game.
Daniel Hand was in control from the opening kickoff and the stingy Tiger defense lived up to their potential yet again. Chris Bartosic recovered a muffed punt which setup his early plunge into the endzone which put the Tigers on the board first. Sophomore QB Phoenix Billings threw for 2 TD’s and ran one for a 3rd as the Hand offense scored 30+ points for the 2nd week in a row. Throw in the fact that the defense, led by Senior Captain Brian Casagrande, has only given up a combined total of 16 points in 2 playoff games and you have a team in Daniel Hand that is going to be extremely tough to beat if they to play this well for one more game.
