UCONN Men Win, NBA, NHL, Girls BB Hamden Hands SHA 1st Loss, Wed B'Cast

The UCONN Men's Basketball Team defeated Butler 71-62 Tuesday night. Cam Spencer had 20 points for UCONN.

Tuesday's Broadcast - Girls Basketball - #2 Hamden at #1 Sacred Heart Academy

This game was a Classic from start to finish - Hamden defeated the SHA Sharks 67-61 in Overtime. The Green Dragons led 18-15 after 1 quarter, 34-28 at the Half and 46-40 after 3 quarters. But the Sharks came back - a wild 4th quarter - several lead changes and several ties. Hamden attempted a final shot at the buzzer but failed and the game ended 56-56 after 4 quarters. The Overtime belonged to Alana Philpotts, who scored 6 points, a 3 pointer and 3 clutch foul shots and Hamden survived SHA 67-61 in OT

For Hamden - Alana Philpotts 31 points, sister Leah Philpotts had 16 points, and Freshman Saige Sampson had 15 points, 5 3's !

For SHA - Lauren Thompson had 17 points and Emily Mennillo added 13 points

Hamden is 15-3, SHA 17-1
