Tuesday's Broadcast - turned out to be just 1 game - the Class L Semifinal between Masuk and East Haven. The 2nd game - Ledyard/St. Joseph was postponed due to rain and will be played Wednesday night at 7pm at Biondi Field in West Haven.
Masuk blanked East Haven in the 1st game 4-0 behind the superb pitching of Kat Gallant. Gallant pitched a complete game 2 hit shutout and had 13 strikeouts.
The Masuk offense was spearheaded by Katie Welch, who had 2 triples, scored a run, and had 2 rbis. Jacie Hall added 2 singles and an rbi, and Ella Bunovsky had a single and rbi for the Panthers.
Lena Barthel and Tori Heaphy had the 2 East Haven hits.
Masuk advances to the Class L Title game and awaits the winner of the Ledyard/St. Joseph game on Wednesday.
