Monday night - opening night of the Winter Broadcasts - I started in Wallingford - Sheehan High School as they battled Fairfield Warde.
It was a very entertaining game for the opening game of the season.
In the end though, Sheehan defeated Fairfield Warde 44-35. Caroline Dighello had 12 points, 4 3 pointers, for Sheehan. Maddi Larkin added 11 points and Caitlyn Hunt 9 points for the Titans.
Toni Lamparski, Maya Henry and Aleysha Henry each had 9 points for Warde. 24 of Warde's 35 points came on 3 pointers.
High School Hockey also got underway Monday night.
