My Favorite Week of the Year and My Favorite Holiday; 21 Spots Clinched

Ah it's that time again - my favorite week of the year - the week of my favorite Holiday - THANKSGIVING -. Don't ask me why, but I have always loved Thanksgiving - the days leading up to it and the weekend days after it.

It's a time to give thanks for all that we have - I love it because I host it - and my family comes and we feast together. I love it because of all the great food that is served at this 1 meal - from soup to dessert.

I love it because of High School Football - the end of the regular season - and the revealing of all the Playoff matchups for the CIAC State Tournament.

21 teams have clinched Playoff berths - only 11 remain.

The following teams have clinched Playoff Spots:

Class LL(6)  Shelton, Darien, Southington, Newtown, Greenwich, New Britain

Class L (4)  Naugatuck, Hand, Middletown, Maloney

Class M (5) St. Joseph, Sheehan, Berlin, Killingly, Cheney Tech

Class S (6) Bullard Havens, Ansonia, Stafford/East Windsor/Somers, Cromwell/Portland, Bloomfield, Woodland

24 teams are still alive for the final 11 Spots

Which teams take the final  11 spots - which Thanksgiving rival will knock out their opponent and which teams will win and clinch a spot - like I say - it's my favorite week of the year  - but by the end of the week - we'll know the 32 teams in the State Tournament - oh Baby!
