CT's Live Music Past

Man, over the years I saw some great shows here in CT, at funky little spots, many of which are long gone. Who else remembers any of these places?

The Sting (A New Britain institution, I recall seeing Slaughter/Cinderella/Vince Neil there and Vince getting about three songs deep before he cut the show short after someone threw a bottle at him)

The El 'n Gee Club (One of my fondest memories here, interestingly, was seeing short-lived 90's rockers Spacehog rock the place..."In The Meantime...")

The Funhouse (It came and went in the Elm City, but was there long enough for MTV "Real World" season one alumni Andre Comeau's band Reigndance to do their thing, ending a solid set with a tremendous cover of Aerosmith's "Toys in the Attic")

The Moon (Nirvana. Period.)

Tuxedo Junction (A venerable CT concert mecca, Tuxedo continues to cater to CT residents, despite some recent bumps in the road; my fave concert remains former Marillion front man Fish truly delivering back in 1999)

The Agora Ballroom (LA rockers RATT came "Out of the Cellar" to open their East Coast tour here)
