Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell Holds News Conference

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell is not forecasting or expecting a recession. During a conference in Switzerland, Powell said the Fed expects continued moderate growth in coming months. Powell noted that the labor market continues to strengthen and said U.S. consumers are in good shape. President Trump has been hammering the Fed to lower interest rates to promote more robust economic growth.
