UCONN Women Win Men in Action Tue NHL, HS SCC Girls Tourn - Hamden/ SHA III

The UCONN Women's Basketball Team defeated Creighton 73-53 on Monday. Paige Bueckers had 24 points for UCONN.

The UCONN Men will play at Creighton Tuesday night.

Monday's Broadcast - SCC Girls Tournament Semifinals

Game 1 Sheehan vs Hamden a gem - Hamden held off a late Sheehan comeback to eke out a 42-41 win and advance to the SCC Girls Championship;

For Hamden: Leah Philpotts had 12 points, Kamora Moore had 8 points and Alana Philpotts had 7 points

For Sheehan: Megan Wresien had 15 points and Liv Cassesse added 12 points

Game 2 North Haven vs. Sacred Heart Academy - the Sharks led 23-14 after 1 quarter and never looked back - posting a 73-49 win and moving on to the Championship Game on Wednesday

For SHA - Emily Mennillo and Meghan Kirck each had 17 points and Lauren Thompson had 13 points

For North Haven - Ava Johnson had 11 points and Olivia Ball and Damaria Williams Davis had 8 points each

So Wednesday night at Quinnipiac - it's Hamden/Sacred Heart Academy III - they've split the first 2 meetings
