American Senior Legion Baseball
A solo trip to Milford Thursday - Naugatuck at Milford - this was NOT one for the Baseball Clinic - let's just say I haven't seen a game like this in a long time
The two teams combined for 26 runs, 18 hits, 8 errors, 12 walks and 7 hit batsmen
Milford actually led 12-5 after 5 innings - but gave up 7 runs in the 6th inning on just 1 hit 5 walks and 4 hit batsmen
Naugatuck scored a run in the 7th to take a 13-12 lead but Milford tied it in the bottom of the 7th on a controversial call, and personally I think the wrong call by the umpire and the game ended 13-13 suspended after 7 innings because of darkness
For Naugatuck: Tyler Giambra had 3 rbis without getting a hit, Ryan Montini hit a Grand Slam Home Run, and Thomas Barry had a single and rbi
For Milford: Tyler DeSanty had a double, SAC Fly and 2 rbis, and Brian Massey had 3 hits and 4 rbis, and Dan Adzima had 2 hits and an rbi
North Haven 5 Orange 0 Jack Pesta was the winning pitcher allowing just 4 hits and at the plate had 2 hits and 3 rbis while Ben Busillo had a single and made 2 great catches in the outfield
