Wednesday's Broadcast Girls BB Enfield at Hamden CIAC State Tournament Class LL Quarterfinals
Enfield, the #8 seed, gave Hamden, the #1 seed, all they wanted on Wednesday night. The Eagles led 10-8 after 1 quarter, 21-17 at the Half; Hamden led 27-26 after 3 quarters and it was a dogfight in the 4th quarter; but the Green Dragons outscored the Eagles 19-8 and won the game 46-34, to advance to the State Tournament Class LL Semifinals where they will face Newington.
Leah Philpotts had 15 points, 11 in the 4th quarter, and her sisiter, Alana had 13 points. Hamden's bugaboo remains foul shooting; Hamden was 10 for 32 from the foul line!
Mya Rosado led Enfield with 16 points.
