Softball is a very funny game. One inning, you're leading by 5 runs, and the next inning, you're down by 2 runs. Such was the case Monday in a game I saw in Milford between Sheehan and Jonathan Law.
Sheehan had a 5-0 lead heading to the bottom of the 5th inning and suddenly, the Jonathan Law bats awoke for 7 runs, and Law made that big inning stand up for a 7-5 victory over the Titans.
For Sheehan - Jenna Cyr had a 2 run Home Run, Jada Math had an rbi, Reilly Hunter had 2 hits and scored a run and Ryen Wolcheski had 2 hits and scored a run.
For Law - Mady Bull, Elizabeth Roos, Nicolina Salanto, Hailey Oliver and Madison Lusignan all had rbis; but the winning runs scored on a Wild Pitch!
Mady Bull was the winning pitcher and had 9 strikeouts.
