It was a solo trip to Wall Field in Wallingford Wednesday night - Senior Legion action - Madison at Wallingford.
A very entertaining game - an interesting one at that - all the scoring was done in the 1st inning! Wallingford came away with a 3-1 victory.
Madison scored their run on an rbi single by Jared Kuryan.
Wallingford scored their 3 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning on rbi singles from Joe Amarone, Nick Velardi and Aidan Weir. And that was it for the scoring.
Joe Amarone had 2 hits, scored a run and had an rbi.
Madison is 9-3, Wallingford is 4-4.
Kyle Simmons was the winning pitcher. He had 7 strikeouts.
Justin Hackett got the Save. Bill Gorry added a single and double for Wallingford.
Madison mustered up only 3 hits and Ken Nuzzi had 2 of them.
