Hamden and Wallingford will play for the CtEBA Division 2 League Tournament Championship.
Hamden defeated East Haven 10-0 at Legion Field.
It was a family trip to the Town Campus Field in Madison - Wallingford/Madison in the other Semifinal contest.
Willy and I made the rounds before the game to both dugouts.
Nothing but goose eggs for the first 7 innings. But then Wallingford erupted for 6 runs in the top of the 8th inning and won 6-0.
Justin Hackett was the winning pitcher. Evan Wilkinson had the game winning rbi, Kyle Simmons had a single and rbi, Aiden Weir had a single and rbi, John Cotter a single and rbi and Bill Gorry a single and 2 rbis for Wallingford.
So it will be Hamden and Wallingford for the Championship, scheduled for Tuesday, but most likely Wednesday at Pat Wall Field in Wallingford at 5:30pm.
The winner will advance to the State Tournament starting Friday night.
This one should be a dandy - Hamden/Wallingford for the Championship - oh yea - and ME!
