The Major League Baseball Players Association rejected the MLB owners proposal of 60 games. The vote was 33-5. Commissioner Rob Manfred can now implement a schedule for the 2020 season of between 50 and 60 games. There is no indication that the MLBPA will come back with a counter proposal.

Washington Wizards forward Davis Bertans became the 1st NBA player to voluntarily sit out the rest of the 2020 season. Bertans was averaging 15.4 points a game this season.
The Connecticut Elite Baseball Association is scheduled to start play on Wednesday, July 1st in the 19u & 17u divisions. I will be following this league to its end in early August.
