Major League Baseball has become the biggest joke of the major sports. It seems the NFL, NHL and the NBA are moving along very nicely. But MLB - a joke . 2 power hungry groups - the MLB owners and the MLBPA players. And do me a favor please - don't tell me you're broke - either side.
The latest nonsense is an offer from the players which calls for an 89 game season with a full prorated share of salaries and expanded salaries. The season would begin July 10th and end October 11th. Don't worry - the owners will reject it.
The NFL Hall of Fame enshrinement scheduled for August 6-8 is still on along with the Hall of Fame game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Dallas Cowboys.
The NBA has told the General Managers that next season's schedule could be condensed. The league will still play an 82 game schedule but in a shorter time. Teams will play more back to back games.
