The Washington Nationals are World Series Champs! The Nationals defeated the Astros 6-2 in Game 7 to win the Series 4-3, winning all 4 games on the road! It is their 1st title in franchise history. It is the first World Series Championship for Washington D.C. since 1924 when Walter Johnson won the title for the Washington Senators!
This franchise started out as the Montreal Expos in 1969 and moved back to Washington D.C. in 2005.
Stephen Strasburg was named the World Series MVP.
