Thursday, I made a solo trip to Quigley Stadium in West Haven to take in some baseball - Notre Dame(WH) - East Haven. Going there brought back some great memories for me. When you played at Quigley Stadium years ago, you felt privileged,like someone special to get to play there. Ah yes, the memories.
As for the game, the Green Knights defeated the Yellowjackets 10-4. Ryan Sullivan was the winning pitcher. Tanner Belcher had 2 singles, a double, scored 2 runs and had an rbi, Eddie Zanor had 3 rbis on a bases loaded double, Noah Ferrucci had 2 hits and 2 rbis and John Milone had 2 rbis for Notre Dame.
Nate Furino had 4 hits, 2 singles, 2 doubles and 2 rbis, Gianni Mumford had 2 hits and Hunter Santana and Steve Mingione had rbis for East Haven.
Notre Dame is 8-2, East Haven is 5-4.
