The final 2 days of the regular season in Legion Baseball has some crucial games left.
Orange and North Haven begin a 3 game series starting Wednesday night with a Doubleheader at DeMayo Field in North Haven. North Haven is 13-5, Orange is 11-6.
North Haven needs to win 1 of the 3 games to clinch a Playoff Spot, while Orange needs to go 3-1 in their last 4 games to get to the Post Season. Orange has a makeup game with East Haven as well.
East Haven is at Hamden on Wednesday. A Hamden win will give Post 88 the Zone 2 Title. Hamden concludes their season on Thursday at Branford. Branford is also seeking a Playoff Spot.
Stratford is also in the hunt for a Playoff Spot. They will be North Haven rooters this week. If North Haven takes 2 of 3 from Orange, Stratford will get in the Playoffs because they have the tiebreaker against Orange.
So you see, a few games left, and they all have an impact on the Post Season.
Zone 3 is pretty well set. Cheshire, Southington and Middletown have all clinched spots. Guilford and Meriden have a Play in game on Friday night.

As for me, that crucial series between Orange and North Haven should be a dandy.
