Milford Lou Gehrig Wins Battle of Milford in District 4 Semifinals

A family trip(I think Willy is getting used to this) to Milford - Clarkson Field - the Little League District 4 11-12 Tournament Semifinals. It was the Battle of Milford - Milford International vs. Milford Lou Gehrig.

When the smoke cleared, it was Milford Lou Gehrig winning the battle 11-1 and advancing to the District 4 Tournament Championship Saturday at 4pm at Clarkson Field in Milford. Milford will play Max Sinoway(North Haven) for the Title. Max Sinoway defeated Orange 8-4 in the other Semifinal game.

Ethan Long had 3 hits and 2 rbis, Nolan Hansen had 2 hits and 2 rbis, Kasen Lanese had 2 hits and scored 2 runs and Zach Worzel had 2 hits and an rbi for Milford LG. 

Cal Wrigley had 3 hits and an rbi for Milford International.

In American Legion Baseball

Zone 2

North Haven 8 West Haven 2 Tommy Myjack was the winning pitcher. Kevin Lucey had 2 hits and 4 rbis for North Haven.

Orange 2 Branford 1 Anthony Esposito was the winning pitcher in relief for Orange. Ed Criscuolo drove in the tying run with a double and CJ Parkin drove in the winning run for Orange.

Hamden 10 East Haven 0 Anthony Sitro was the winning pitcher. Mike Ferrett had 2 Home Runs and 5 rbis for Hamden. 

Zone 3

Meriden 12 Southington 2; Cheshire 4 Guilford 3 Ben Shadeck drove in the game winning run for Cheshire.

Wallingford 6 Madison 5 James Michaud drove in the game winning rbi for Wallingford.

I have not been to Piurek Field in West Haven very often this season.
