Yanks, Mets Get Swept; Red Sox Win; Watson Wins Travelers

The Yankees and Mets both got swept in their weekend series.

The Yankees were swept by the Tampa Bay Rays, losing Sunday 7-6 in 12 innings. Chasen Shreve took the loss in relief for New York. Shreve gave up the walk-off Home Run to rookie Jake Bauers. Miguel Andujar and Giancarlo Stanton homered for the Yanks. In fact Stanton was 5 for 5.

The Mets were done in by the Los Angeles Dodgers losing 8-7 in 11 innings. The Dodgers set a Citi Field record by hitting 7 Home Runs in the game. 

Asdrubal Cabrera and Kevin Plawecki homered for the Mets.

The Red Sox beat the Seattle Mariners 5-0 at Fenway Park. Chris Sale was the winning pitcher. Mitch Moreland homered for Boston.

Bubba Watson won the Travelers Championship at the TPC River Highlands in Cromwell. It was Watson's 3rd Travelers Title.
