NBA Finals: Warriors Beat Cavs, Lead Series 2-0; Red Sox Win, Mets Swept

The Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers handily in Game 2 of the NBA Finals 122-103 Sunday night. Stephen Curry had 33 points, including 9 3 pointers, an NBA Finals record for Golden State. Kevin Durant added 26 points for the Warriors.

LeBron James had 29 points, 13 assisits and 9 rebounds for the Cavaliers. 

Golden State leads the Best of 7 Series 2-0. Game 3 is in Cleveland Wednesday night.


The Red Sox beat the Astros 9-3 Sunday night in Houston. Mitch Moreland and Andrew Benintendi homered for Boston. The 2 teams split the 4 game series.

The Mets lost to the Cubs 2-0 at Citi Field. Chicago swept the 4 game series. Steven Matz took the loss for New York. 

The Yankees and Orioles were rained out again in Baltimore. They will play a split doubleheader on August 25th.
