Seymour Advances to Quarterfinals in State Tournament

I travelled on one of my favorite roads Wednesday - Bungay Rd. in Seymour - to watch Notre Dame(Ffld) and the Wildcats. Seymour advanced to the Quarterfinals with a 12-0 shutout of the Lancers.

Seymour scored 3runs in the 1st inning and 2 in the 2nd and broke it open with 5 runs in the 4th inning. Molly Adamo was the winning pitcher. She had 5 strikeouts.

Beca Findley had 3 hits, plus a scarifice fly and 5 rbis. Becca Johnson had 2 hits, 2 walks and scored 4 runs, Chelsea Avila had 2 rbis and Kolby Sirowich had 2 rbis for Seymour.

Johnson made 6 catches in center field, some of which were of the spectacular nature. Outfielders don't always get paid a lot of attention, but Becca Johnson is one of the best outfielders I've ever seen in covering Softball for over 30 years. As a matter of fact, the Seymour outfield is one of the best, if not the best, in the entire state. The other 2 are Sierra Cripps and Morgan Teodosio, both outstanding.
