Cavs Beat Celtics, Advance to NBA Finals; Yanks Beat Angels

LeBron James had 35 points, 15 rebpunds and 9 assists as the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Boston Celtics 87-79 in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Cleveland now moves on to the NBA Finals to play the winner of the Houston-Golden State series. Game 7 of that series is Monday night.

It was Boston's loss at Home in the Playoffs. The Celtics were 7 for 39 from 3 point range.


The Yankees beat the Angels 3-1. Masahiro Tanaka was the winning pitcher. Aaron Hicks, Greg Bird and Miguel Andujar had the Yankee rbis.

The Red Sox were beaten by the Braves 7-1. Chris Sale took the loss for Boston. Mitch Moreland had the lone Red Sox rbi.

The Mets lost to the Brewers 8-7. Milwaukee took 3 of 4 from New York. Jerry Blevins took the loss in relief for the Mets. Asdrubal Cabrera and Devin Mesoraco momered for New York.
