The Field of 32 is Complete; Law-Foran Broadcast - One to Remember

Let the CIAC State Football Tournament begin. The field of 32 teams is complete. The final 7 Spots were taken on Thanksgiving Day.

One of them was gobbled up by Jonathan Law.

The Jonathan Law-Foran game was my featured Broadcast. It was the first time I had been to Milford on Thanksgiving Day. I will never forget it. It was a memorable game, a gem, an instant classic.

It was Jeff Bevino's final game as coach of Foran High School. He was completing 43 years in coaching football.

For Law, it was a chance to make the Playoffs for the 1st time in their program's history. Law also needed some help from Holy Cross(Wtby). Holy Cross had to beat Wolcott to help Law get in.

Well, Holy Cross did their part. They rallied to beat Wolcott 42-28. Now it was up to Law. Foran had a 28-20 lead in the 4th quarter, but the Lawmen rallied with the game's final 14 points to win 34-28. The winning touchdown was scored by Michael Plaskon with 57 seconds left. There were so many incredible plays by both teams in this game - I could write a book on all of them. Suffice it to say - Law made the Class M Playoffs and will visit #1 seed Killingly on Tuesday night.

This was one of the greatest games I ever had the pleasure to call - and I've broadcast a lot of games in over 30 years in Radio! I will always remember it.

So the Playoffs begin on Tuesday night - the Quarterfinals and I will be on at 6:25pm on News Radio 960, & iheartradio

But which game - listen to the Saturday Morning Sports Show 6am-8am and find out.
