Yanks Beat Twins in AL Wild Card Game - Indians Next

The Yankees beat the Minnesota Twins 8-4 Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium in the AL Wild Card Game. Minnesota scored 3 runs in the top of the 1st inning, hitting 2 Home Runs and knocking starting pitcher Luis Severino out of the game.

The Yankees tied the game in the bottom of the 1st on a 3 run Home Run by Didi Gregorius. Brett Gardner homered to give the Yanks a 4-3 lead.

After the Twins tied the game at 4, Greg Bird singled home a run to give the Yanks a 5-4 lead and they never trailed again. Aaron Judge hit a 2 run Home Run for the Yanks to give them a 7-4 lead. They added a run on a bases loaded walk and that made the final score 8-4. The Yankees travel to Cleveland to play the Indians in the ALDS in a Best of 5 Series starting on Thursday.

The National League Wild Card is Wednesday night. 

Colorado is at Arizona.
