The Mets were crushed by the Cubs 17-5 at Wrigley Field. Albert  Amora homered and had 6 rbis for Chicago.

The Cleveland Indians defeated the Detroit Tigers 5-3 for their 21st straight victory. The Indians now have the longest winning streak in American League History.
