Fairfield American defeated Newington 6-4 to win the Little League Baseball State Championship in Guilford. Fairfield American will return to the New England Regional Tournament in Bristol. Their first game will be Monday, August 7 at 1:00pm.
The American Legion Northeast Regional Senior Tournament will be held in Shrewsbury, Mass. from August 2nd to August 6th. Both Stamford and West Hartford will play in the tournament.
Stamford will open against Rochester, New Hampshire on Wednesday August 2nd at 12:30pm.
West Hartford will play the Host Shrewsbury, Massachusetts on Wednesday at 7:30pm.
The Winner of the Tournament will advance to the American Legion World Series in Shelby, North Carolina.
The NABF Northeast Regional Tournament will take place from Thursday, August 3rd to Saturday, August 5th.
The games will be played at Quigley Stadium and Piurek Field in West Haven and Brinley Field in Orange.
The Championship is scheduled for Saturday, August 5th at 12:00pm at Quigley Stadium.
Flanagan Associates and Columbus Auto Body will play in this Tournament representing the West Haven Twilight League.
The Winner of the Tournament advances to the NABF World Series in Battle Creek, Michigan.
