I made a solo trip to Milford Thursday night(you're not shocked are you) to see Milford take on Branford in an elimination game in the Junior Legion State Tournament.
Milford led early 2-0, but Branford scored 3 runs in the 4th, 5 runs in the 5th and beat Milford 9-4, eliminating Milford from the Tournament.
Branford plays at Stamford Saturday and must beat them twice.
Mason Traca was the winning pitcher. Aidan Ricciardelli had 2 doubles and 4 rbis, Dan Lear had 2 hits, Charles Russo had 2 hits and Tyler Sibley had a single and 2 rbis for Branford.
Justin DeEll had 2 rbis and Nick Lombardo had 2 hits and an rbi for Milford.

In Little League action, the North Branford 11-12 year old All Star Team defeated Ridgefield 12-11 in the Section 1 Tournament. They will play District 2 on Friday night in Orange at 6pm. The Road to Williamsport, Penn.
