Trumbull Trips Stratford in State Legion Tournament

posted by Coach -

A family trip to Stratford on Tuesday night to check out Trumbull at Stratford in the Senior(19u) State Legion Tournament.

Trumbull scored 3 runs in the 5th inning and edged Stratford 3-2. Daniel Keckler got the win for Trumbull. Andrew Lojko had a double and rbi. Trumbull's other 2 runs came as a result of bases loaded walks.

Connor Anstis had 3 hits and an rbi and Anthony Herman had 2 hits and a run scored for Stratford.

This is a Best of 3 Series. Stratford will need to win 2 games on Wednesday to stay in the Tournament.

Other State Tournament Scores

Cheshire 1 Meriden 0, Avon 3 Southington 0, Stamford 6 Oakville 0, Greenwich 8 Middletown 1

Wednesday, a return to the Junior Legion State Tournament. I believe a trip to North Haven is in order - Wilton at North Haven - an elimination game - pressure on both teams - winner stays in and loser packs up their gear

Solo trip, Wally and me or a family trip - could be a game time decision
