It was a family trip to East Haven on Monday night to take in New Haven at East Haven in Zone 2 Legion action and a pivotal matchup for both teams.
After 3 scoreless innings, East Haven scored 5 runs in the 4th and went on to defeat New Haven 7-1. East Haven is now 12-9 and New Haven 11-10.
Mike Mancuso got the win, tossing a nifty 4 hitter. He received offensive help from Nick Kraszewski, who hit a 3 run Home Run, Jake Ferrara 2 hits and a run scored, Jack Zimmerman 3 hits and an rbi and Mark Smith a single and rbi.
Edgar Diaz had a triple and scored the lone New Haven run.

Stratford 6 West Haven 1 Anthony Herman was the winning pitcher. Tyler Vancho had 3 hits and scored 3 runs for Stratford.
Hamden 1 North Haven 0 Brendan Kirck got the win tossing a 3 hitter. Mike Ferrett knocked in the only run of the game.
