I made a solo trip to Hamden(Wally joined me later in Wallingford) to watch Stratford-Hamden in Zone 2 action.
Stratford scored 3 runs in the 5th inning and went on to beat Hamden 6-2. Adam Wojenski got the win pitching a 4 hitter. Wojenski also helped his own cause at the plate with 2 hits and an rbi. Richard Starkey had a triple and 2 rbis and Zach Dunkel had 3 hits and 2 rbis for Stratford. Connor Anstis made several spectacular plays at shortstop as well for Stratford.
Jamie Santore had a triple and 2 rbis for Hamden.
With the win, Stratford takes over sole possession of 2nd place in Zone 2.

Branford 3 North Haven 2 DJ Caron got the win. Troy Botte had 2 hits and Trevor Brown had an rbi for Branford.
Orange took 2 from Milford
Game 1 Orange 1 Milford 0 Joe Kiwanis squeezed home the only run of the game for Orange. Chase Burzinski was the winning pitcher.
Game 2 Orange 11 Milford 1 Zach Cole got the win. Quentin Pitter had 2 doubles and Alec Smith homered for Orange, now 11-2.
New Haven 8 West Haven 3
I made a trip to Wallingford to see Meriden-Wallingford in Zone 3 action. It was Game 2 of the Doubleheader. Meriden had won Game 1 18-3. Nick Palumbo got the win. Jack Rich had 7 rbis for Meriden.
In Game 2, Jack Rich was the winning pitcher in a Meriden 5-0 victory.

Thursday looks like a trip to Branford - North Haven visits Branford and I(maybe with Wally, although I might give him the night off, we'll see) will take in the Zone 2 battle.
