The family trip to Wallingford was spoiled by rain and thunder on Tuesday night. Meriden and Wallingford were suspended in the 3rd inning with the score 2-2. The game will be finished as part of a Doubleheader on Wednesday night at Pat Wall Field in Wallingford. Meriden scored 2 runs in the top of the 1st without the benefit of a hit.
Two walks, a balk, a Sac Fly, and an error provided the 2 runs.
Wallingford answered with 1 run in the bottom of the 1st on an rbi single from Sam DeMaio. Wallingford tied it in the 2nd on an rbi single from Luke Horobin.

As for Wednesday, Wally? and I on the road again. Two of the 3 teams tied for 2nd Place battle at Rochford Field. Sounds like a plan - but don't rule out a return trip to Wallingford after that for Game 2 of the Wallingford-Meriden Doubleheader either.
Just keep the gas tank filled and Wally at my side.
